1 INDICATIONS AND USAGE Abacavir tablets, in combination with other antiretroviral agents, are indicated for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infection. Abacavir, a nucleoside analogue human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) reverse transcriptase inhibitor, is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral agents for the treatment of HIV-1 infection. 16 HOW SUPPLIED/STORAGE AND HANDLING Abacavir Tablets, USP containing abacavir sulfate equivalent to 300 mg abacavir are yellow, biconvex, scored, capsule-shaped, film-coated tablets engraved with “APO” on one side and “AB” bisect “300” on the other side. They are packaged as follows: Bottles of 60 tablets (NDC 60505-3583-6). Unit Dose packs of 60 tablets (NDC 60505-3583-0). Each pack contains 6 blister cards of 10 tablets each. Store at controlled room temperature 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F) (See USP) Dispense in original container with attached prescribing information that contains the Medication Guide and a Warning Card.
